What is the honest truth about acne reviews?
If you've read enough of them, then you'll know, just as I do, that most can be blatantly manipulated to lead you in a predetermined direction.
You know the ones.
The 'gold star ratings' the glowing 'customer testimonials' and the 'honest, critical review' that is nothing more than a thinly disguised sales letter.
That's because acne products are a profitable business for webmasters, and I'm no different. Like everyone else, I get commission for customers I refer. But I will NEVER recommend any product I believe to be overpriced or ineffective. (Don't worry, you pay the same regardless of commissions)
But here's my biggest confession. I haven't tried any of the products I write about, because I have been free of acne for many years. My reviews are based purely on my knowledge of the subject, and painstaking, time consuming research to provide free information for visitors to this site.
How Does This Benefit You?
Let me put it this way. If I wrote acne reviews on products that I tried, they would HAVE to be biased one way or the other. For example, if one acne product worked for me, my review would be very positive. If another product didn't work, for whatever reason, my review would be negative.
And It's Exactly The Same With Customer Reviews!
The reason why some products get poor reviews is because they involve detox and diet as a way of treating acne, and can be very difficult for some people to follow. Those that stick to the plan usually see good results, and those that don't are left feeling bitter and disappointed, and still have their acne to contend with. (A poor review usually follows)
Let's face it, those who feel p****d off are more likely to write a full review than those who are satisfied, and quietly enjoying the benefits.
It's human nature, so don't be put off, go with your own 'gut feeling.'
So What's The Point of Acne Reviews?
A review is an evaluation of a publication or product, based on personal experience, or understanding, based on sound knowledge and research.
My reviews are based on knowledge and research, and presented to you with what I believe to be relevant and factual information to enable you to make an informed decision before parting with your hard earned cash.

The word 'best' is not meant to be misleading. In fact, it's questionable.
I included the word 'best' in the titles because that's what people search for. I'm not in any way implying that these products ARE the best.
They have to be presented to you, and if you try one of them and get rid of your acne, then only YOU can honestly say that product is the best.
As I've said repeatedly on this site, what works for you may not work for me, and vice versa. So there really is no definitive 'best' acne product.
If I appear to be criticising a product (which I often do) it doesn't mean that it's no good. It simply means that during my research I came across statements or claims that I don't agree with. It may well work for YOU!
I apologise if this has all been a bit long-winded, but my main intentions for writing this page was .....
1) To make my business dealings transparent.
2) To give you a better understanding of reviews.
3) To save you time and money.
By all means read acne reviews, they're not all false and hyped up. But be your own person. Look for information you think could be beneficial. And remember the old saying : If it sounds too good to be true - it probably is!
